Celebrating Diversity #13In this issue of Celebrating Diversity, I would like to remind you of an amazing feeling...when you see a piece of art created in a medium or genre that you have little or no experience of working in, and it feels like you're witnessing something magical, something beyond your comprehension.
It's wonderful to revel in the joy of How do they do that? and find inspiration in the creations of other artists. So I challenge you to take a step outside of the galleries that you regularly browse and immerse yourself in the experience of indulging in something new.

This week Horacio Coppola died. Many will not know the name, but in the Photography world he was pretty awesome. He died age 105, and was famous for taking Black and White photographs of Buenos Aires in the 1930s. But he also photographed normality. Some of his works included egg and twine - quite simply an egg and a piece of twine. Others featured a typewriter, but ultimately he shot normality, the everyday things that people overlooked. He's said to be one of very few photographers who manage to capture the romance, vitality and squalor of a great city. So a legend has died, but somewhere another will rise up through the ranks. Who inspires you? Which historical Artists have provoked you to reach the place where you are now? Or who you aspire to be?

Vintage Cars
I was trying hard to think where I could find a nice collection of Vintage Car images when I suddenly remembered #Vintagenic a lovely group that was brought to my attention sometime ago by *Kezzi-Rose It's a fantastic group if you are into Vintage Photography but in particular there is a wonderful Vintage Car Gallery that is definitely worth a browse.

When photographing Vintage cars you can enhance the look by processing the image afterwards to add a dusky glow or hue. But in general vintage cars are often the subject of fashion, glamour and transportation Photography because they look different to the norm. Through design and decades, the car has morphed from a utility to a well designed sculpture. So it is often debated and mused over the best way to showcase the beautiful machines with just a camera

Project Educate: Critique Week Welcome to Critique Week!
For the majority of us on DeviantART, critique is an essential part of our experience and development as artists. As much as we love praise or positive comments from our nearest and dearest, most of us are seeking to improve our craft and to be able to shape our Art more effectively. Some of us purely post our work here to get that all important feedback and the extra special people amongst us are on here to give it.
However, to get critique is not always as easy as slapping up our latest piece into our gallery and wait for the responses to come flooding in. In fact if you genuinely want good critique, you do need to make a bit of an effort to get it and get effective, constructive feedback in return.
This week at #communityrelations, we are using the power of Project Educate to have a whole week dedicated not only to how to get critique, but how to give it, use it and make the most of what deviantART can offer and hopefully show you that
